Getting started with the Inflection AI API
Inflection-3 comprises three primary models designed for distinct purposes:
- Pi (3.1): the latest model fine-tuned from a Llama base model, including a backstory,
emotional intelligence, tool calling, and more. It excels in scenarios such
as customer support chatbots or agentic workflows. Set the model or config field in the API request body to
"Pi-3.1" to use this model.
- Pi (3.0): the legacy model powering our pi.ai and Pi iOS app experiences, including a backstory,
emotional intelligence, productivity, and safety. It excels in scenarios such
as customer support chatbots. Set the model or config field in the API request body to
"inflection_3_pi" to use this model.
- Productivity (3.0): the legacy model optimized for following instructions. It is
better for tasks requiring JSON output or precise adherence to provided
guidelines. Set the model or config field in the API request body to
"inflection_3_productivity" to use this model.
